Beginning next Thursday, September 5, the Dayton Art Institute will offer a discounted general admission rate of $5 per person on the first Thursday of each month. This initiative, part of the museum’s ongoing centennial celebrations in 2019, will continue through December. Upcoming $5 Thursdays will take place on September 5, October 3, November 7 and December 5.
Due to popular demand, the highly attended Focus Exhibition Monet and Impressionism, featuring a special Monet on loan from the Denver Art Museum, has been extended through September 22, as part of the museum’s ongoing centennial celebration!
Monet and Impressionism provides a spotlight on 14 works highlighting Impressionism in France, including works by Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Camille Pissarro, Pierre Auguste Renoir, Alfred Sisley, Berthe Morisot and Henri Matisse.

“We are thrilled to be able to extend this absolute gem of an exhibition, which is based around Monet and the lasting achievements of the Impressionists.
