The British Transportation Museum is having its Seventh Annual Chili Cookoff and Cruise-In on Saturday on Saturday, Oct. 22 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in its 83,000- sq.-ft. building at 321 Hopeland Ave. Prizes will be awarded for best overall chili and people’s choice.
Proceeds will benefit the building fund at the only all-volunteer 501 (c3) educational, non-profit museum in the United States dedicated to the preservation of British-built transportation vehicles. The collection includes all forms of British transportation – including cars, trucks, motorcycles, and bicycles – and especially the British-made vehicles that have been used in the United States.
There will also be a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream cart at the cookoff.

The British Transportation Museum, at 321 Hopeland St. in Dayton’s Carillon Park neighborhood, is open Saturdays and Mondays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and other days by appointment.
