Juicing Jammers Juice and Smoothie Bar, which started out in 2007, as Dayton’s first Black owned and woman owned mobile juicery. Owner Tawnni Miles is a registered Nurse who started her business in 2017 with a small refrigerator in Tae Winston’s Entrepreneur Shop. She then purchased her trailer in 2020. She’s been operating at events and farmer’s markets around town. Now she’ signed a multiple year lease with Wright Dunbar, Inc. Tawnni shared that it’s surreal to now have this location, where she first now house her shop.
The Soft Opening is on Friday, July 29, 2022 10am to 3pm at 13 North Williams St. located in the Historic Wright Dunbar Business District.
The brick-and-mortar space will allow for an expanded menu to include yogurt bowls, acai bowls, lemonades, overnight oats, avocado toast, fruit bowls and salads. Her smoothies run $8 for a 16 oz cup.
Miles shared she worked at McDonald’s growing up and the customer service training she received there taught her so much about dealing with customers.
Tawnni said, “As a registered nurse, I knew changing our diets was key to curing the ailments attacking health. So, what better way than to show up with the healthiest and most nutritious juices, lemonade, and yogurt bowls”.
As part of their opening they are asking customers to help name the smoothies, so you can sample the four smoothies and then submit their choice for names. On Monday they will release the winning names. Here’s a peak at the opening menu:
