Grand Opening of Jus Juic’n at Gem City Market This Weekend

This weekend Jus Juic’n will host a grand opening of their third location, this one inside of the Gem City Market.

Their first location opened in 2011 inside the downtown Dayton YMCA at 316 N. Wilkinson St. and in 2017 they opened their second location  inside the Reibold Building at 117 S. Main St. downtown.

General Manager T’Aira Scott explains “Juicing is a lifestyle. Having a healthy lifestyle is important because we are what we eat. Eating live food is what’s best for our live bodies.  All my life, I have watched my parents juice and eat healthy and I have adopted lots of their lifestyles in my own home with my husband and children. I believe it is important to share with others because we want to see people happy and healthy and if we have some knowledge on how to do so, why not share?”

The grand opening celebration is this Saturday and Sunday and the first 100 patrons each day will receive a FREE water bottle, and other door prizes.   They will be open Saturday from noon to 9 pm and Sunday from 3 to 9 pm.

Expect to find juices, fruit smoothies and selections from their menu including vegan chicken burgers and vegetarian chili as well as turkey and salmon burgers.  There will also be cake pops from Scott’s other business Sweetly Dipped, a home bakery that features Cake Pops, Cake sickles and Chocolate Covered Sweets.

Scott’s personal favorite items from the menu are “the vegetarian chilli, ora mae’s fried potatoes, and the incredible hulk. A lot of these food items I grew up on so I really can say that all of them are very delicious.”  Scott began working for the family business in hight school and she now oversees all three locations.

Right now they have 3 power shots – a Ginger shot, wheatgrass shot, and the wellness shot.
Mann explains that ginger is a key ingredient for the wellness shot and of course the ginger shot. Ginger is good for inflammation and nausea, bloating, and chemotherapy among other great benefits. Research has shown that ginger takes the edge off after chemo and is better than some anti-nausea medications.
Wheatgrass is good for energy, skin, and your immune system. Sometimes we have the wheatgrass and juice it with garlic to help combat colds and help lower your blood pressure among other health benefits. Just make sure you stay back from everyone’s face when you have that combo or a pack of mints!
The five benefits for wheatgrass are:

5. helps bolster your immune system.

Their most popular juice is the Strawberry Lemonade which is made from strawberries, grapes and lemons.  With 10 fresh juices to choose from, you’ll find your personal favorite.
