Brothers Fadi and Mahdi Shokri opened Olive Mediterranean Grill, a restaurant specializing in Mediterranean and Greek food in the summer of 2018. Sadly Mahdi passed away in a car accident in 2021.
“Fadi tells us “what I love about this business is not just sharing the food I grew up with, but meeting and sharing my story with Daytonians of every walk of life who come into Olive. ” The restaurant on West Third Street has become well known for its gyros, chicken shawarma wraps, lamb shank and kabob platters, sandwiches, falafel, salads, feta rolls, Baba Ganouj, humus and baklava.
This month they are celebrating their 8th anniversary with a special on their Shawarma and Gyro wraps.
