Three Local Breweries Medaled in the 2023 U.S. Open Beer Championship

Breweries from Maui to Miami sent more than 9,000 beers(3,107 entries) representing 170 different styles to the 2023 U.S. Open Beer Championship. The U.S. Open Beer Championship judges more beer styles than any other competition in the world, with 47 categories. The U.S. Open Beer Championship, held in Oxford, Ohio, announced the medal winners and Grand National Champion.

Eudora Brewing Company came home with 3 medals, while Southern Ohio Brewing Company brought home one:

Category 5 – Australian Style Pale Ale
SILVER: Far Far Away – Eudora Brewing Company

Category 28 – Oatmeal Stout
GOLD: Thunderball – Eudora Brewing Company

Category 42 – Brown Porter
GOLD: Mother Fuggle – Eudora Brewing Company

Category 60 – Belgian Pale Ale
BRONZE: Blown Fuse – Southern Ohio Brewing, LLC

Category 100- Vegetable Beer
SILVER: “Beet” of my Heart – Carillon Brewing Co – Oh

Category 141 – Historical Beer – Cat B – Kentucky Common Beer
BRONZE: Corliss – Carillon Brewing Co – Oh
