Centerville Elks to be featured on Today Show

October 17, 2022 By Dayton937

This Friday, October 21, 2022, Centerville High School will be featured on NBC’s Today Show segment “Friday Morning Lights.” Each week, this fall, the Today Show has been traveling to a city in the United States to shine light on what brings the community together on a Friday night. We are excited to announce Centerville High School is the Today Show’s next stop!
The segment will air live in the 8am hour from Centerville High School’s Football Stadium featuring our football team, cheerleaders, band, coeds, mascot and “The Herd” student section.
Coach Ullery will be speaking with local WDTN-TV NBC news affiliate, Jack Pohl, who began his broadcasting career at CHS WCWT in the Communications Broadcasting Career Education Program.
Friday is the last regular season home game and Senior Night. Our 2023 seniors will be recognized and celebrated for their contributions to our school, our community and the NBC Today Show audience!
The team was nominated by Cheryl Thompson, a former Centerville High School band parent and and is the true definition of “Elk Pride Never Dies.”
