With the tornadoes and the destruction they’ve caused to the Miami Valley, our community has truly shown how generous our residents are. Wine for a Cure

Heidelberg Distributing July 11 @ 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm . $45

Join the Dayton community at Heidelberg on Thursday July 11th from 5:00 – 7:00pm to support JDRF and participate in an ABC’s (Anything But Chardonnay & Cabernet) wine tasting from wine expert, Rob Vonderbrink. The evening will also include time to network and mingle with light hors d’oeuvres and an optional tour of the Heidelberg distribution facility.

Purple Paws: Preble Pets Against Domestic Violence

Join YWCA Dayton’s Preble County Office during the “dog days” of summer at this day of family-friendly fun with fur-riends! Bring your pet for this fourth annual signature fundraiser benefiting Preble County’s only domestic violence shelter and 24/7 crisis hotline. Activities include a pet showcase (prizes awarded for best trick, best personality, “twinning” pet-and-owner lookalikes, and best in show), photo booth, vendors, food, music, and more.

Habitat in Hawaii

Schuster Center July 13 @ 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm . $125

Habitat in Hawaii will feature delicious hors d’oeuvres, drinks dinner and desserts. This tropical paradise includes complimentary beer and wine throughout the evening as your bid in our silent auction and dance the night away to live music from The Kim Kelly Orchestra.

DAYTON STRONG BEER BASH

Carillon Historical Park July 13 @ 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm $5 – $15

The Dayton Brewery Alliance has come together to host a fundraising event in support of local tornado relief efforts in the wake of the devastating storms that destroyed so many homes and businesses in the Miami Valley. Thanks to the generosity of all the breweries, vendors, and musicians, every dollar earned or donated at the event will go to a special fund with The Dayton Foundation.

There will be live music from The American Landscape, Velvet Crush Unplugged, and 9Eight Central. Thirty local and regional breweries will be serving their finest brews and food will be available from Dewberry 1850, Carillon Brewing Co., and Culp’s Cafe

“Ride for Ronald McDonald House Charities Dayton”

2nd Annual “Ride for RMHC Dayton”. One of Dayton’s premier poker run events of the year. Also known to many as the safest and most organized poker run they’ve ever participated in. Last year the money we raised provided almost 60 nights of community, comfort, and hope to families of critically ill children. Please invite all your riding friends and help make this another great year for a great cause!

Benefit Concert for The Greater Dayton Disaster Relief Fund

July 13 @ 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm Free

This event is the result of a Community Partnership between Five Rivers MetroParks, SOCHE (Southwestern Ohio Council for Higher Education), The Dayton Foundation and many caring community partners who want to recognize and honor those in the Miami Valley who were impacted by the tornadoes on May 27th. All proceeds go towards The Greater Dayton Disaster Relief Fund, established by The Dayton Foundation, to help rebuild the community.

Wright-Patt Credit Union 3rd Annual Sunshine Community Fund 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run

Wright-Patt Credit Union (WPCU) will host their 3^rd Annual Sunshine Community Fund 5k and 1-Mile Fun Run on Saturday, July 20^th at 9 am in Lofino Park. WPCU is inviting people of all fitness levels to run, jog or walk and help support our community through the WPCU Sunshine Community Fund. This year’s WPCU Sunshine Community Champions are Artemis Domestic Violence Center, Homefull and St. Vincent de Paul. Strollers and well-behaved dogs are welcome.

Beerry Christmas in July

Is the summer heat draining your holiday cheer? Refill your spirit(or at least half of it) at our 4th annual Christmas in July beer tasting! Make sure to bring your Santa hat, elf ears, tacky sweater(or cut it into summer sweater) we’ll help you find your holiday cheer! Your $10 ticket gets you 6 beer tastes. Bring a Christmas ornament to be donated to Tornado Survivors to earn an additional taste.
