Over a month ago tornados destroyed many spots in the Miami Valley. Trotwood, Old North Dayton, Beavercreek and more all felt Mother Nature’s wrath.
The needs are great and while many in our community have rallied to help, the needs continue and many local businesses are now posting benefit shows and ways to donate funds to recovery efforts. Here’s a list of upcoming events that will help with recovery efforts:
Local distillery teams up with specialty sauce maker to raise money for tornado relief
Dayton Strong BEER BASH
The Dayton Brewery Alliance has come together to host a fundraising event in support of local tornado relief efforts in the wake of the devastating storms that destroyed so many homes and businesses in the Miami Valley. Thanks to the generosity of all the breweries, vendors, and musicians, every dollar earned or donated at the event will go to a special fund with The Dayton Foundation.
There will be live music from The American Landscape, Velvet Crush Unplugged, and 9Eight Central. Thirty local and regional breweries will be serving their finest brews and food will be available from Dewberry 1850, Carillon Brewing Co., and Culp’s Cafe (more to come).
We are asking all attendees to make an admission donation of $5 per person. You are also welcome to make a donation of $15 which will include admission to the event and an amazing dinner provided by Dewberry 1850 who is donating all of the food.
We hope you will join us to enjoy an evening of craft beer, food, and live music while supporting your friends and neighbors that continue to be affected by the tornadoes. Thank you!

We have so many connections with the Dayton Beer Community that we’ve lost count.
And so when we saw the devastation that the recent tornadoes brought to the Dayton area we felt not just a desire but a responsibility to do some good and share our support for our friends and neighbors.
And while the initial response is starting to fade, there is still a tremendous growing need for support.
We’re partnering up with our friends from Warped Wing Brewing Company and The Barrel House to throw an epic party on our patio with $1 per pint and glass of wine being donated to The Dayton Foundation‘s Disaster Relief Efforts. A special shout out and thank you to Sara Stathes, Co-Owner of The Barrel House and former Cappy’s Crew Member, for getting this ball rolling and helping us to identify a non-profit partner for the event.
