Fall Has Arrived and It’s Great In Dayton!

Justice On Tap is presented by Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, Inc. (ABLE), Legal Aid of Western Ohio, Inc.(LAWO), and the Greater Dayton Volunteer Lawyers Project (GDVLP). It’s at The Troll Pub on Monday, 5 to 8pm.
Noonday Organ Recitals are each Thursday in October. You get to hear superb organists from12:10 to 12:35pm and then a quick lunch there. This is at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 125 N. Wilkinson Street. This Thursday is Yun Kim.
Boo in the Bog. This is a non-scary night walk on the boardwalk through Cedar Bog. Take a for a non-scary night walk with learning stations along the way. Enjoy children’s activities, face painting, storytelling and food. Friday and Saturday 7 to 9pm.
‘Come As You Art’, features art-themed cocktails, heavy hors d’oeuvres, a pop-up art gallery, live music by Ohio Brass and Electric, raffles, an Instagram hunt and a photo area to commemorate the evening! Come as you “art” and partake in an unforgettable art extravaganza (Artistic costumes and attire welcome but not required)! It’s at the Brightside in Dayton on Friday, 7 to 10pm.
The Museum’s first Dayton Peace Festival has peace friends, athletes and a few surprise celebrities to celebrate the spirit of #daytonstrong after a long and difficult summer. Activities include games, yoga, meditation, free classes on mindfulness and nonviolence, and food and beverages– and more. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday at the Peace Museum.
Jesse Cook is widely considered one of the most influential figures in nuevo flamenco music. He incorporates elements of flamenco, rumba, jazz and many forms of world music into his work. At the Victoria, Saturday, 8pm.
Dayton NoshUp is at Olive Mediterranean Grill (44 W. Third St.). Seatings are at 5pm and 7:30pm and are limited to 50 guests per seating. The cost is $18 per person (plus ticket service fee). You will be served a sampler plate representing traditional Mediterranean dishes, along with some of the owner’s personal favorites. This is Sunday.
Ridgeway Road Bridge. With a focus on creating a place for the community, the new Ridgeway Road Bridge design Foliage reflects the surrounding landscape of Hills and Dale Metro Park and the flowing hills of Kettering, particularly of the view west from the bridge. The fluid movement of the fence lines and the sculptures mimic leaves caught in a gentle breeze. With the addition of plazas on the north and south side of the bridge, pedestrians and vehicles will experience a unique crossing and gathering place.
Oregon District Barstool Open. Put together a team of four for a crazy-fun 9-hole indoor miniature golf outing in 10 bars throughout the Oregon District on Saturday, November 9, 2019!
Proceeds benefit local children and adults with disabilities at United Rehabilitation Services!
Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton is having its 2019 Annual 3k/5k Remembrance Walk on Saturday, Oct. 26, at Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton. Participants are invited to organize a group of family members, friends, neighbors or co-workers to walk in honor or memory of a loved one
LEAP & THE NET WILL APPEAR: Steps for Creating Positive Change. This is a 3-week workshop at Oakwood Starbucks on Saturdays, 9 to 11am beginning October 19.
The Humane Society of Greater Dayton are offering $20 adoptions on ALL animals at their main shelter, the MeowZa! Cat Boutique in the Dayton Mall and at all of their offsite adoption locations. Let your pets ring in the new year in a new home, choose to adopt for anytime this year.
