Lay’s Flavor Swap Chips – 2022 Edition

August 10, 2022 By Dayton937

Lay’s celebrates the summer snacking season with the return of its iconic Flavor Swap lineup, including Doritos, Funyuns and Cheetos mashups, alongside a new mashup for summer 2022, Lay’s Kettle Cooked Fritos Chili Cheese.

Last year, Lay’s launched a twist to the popular Frito-Lay snack brands. While the iconic potato chips were in the bag, the flavors were unexpected. From Doritos to Cheetos, the flavors twists had many people re-thinking snack time.

This year, the Lay’s Flavor Swap chips are back, and a new flavor has been added. Now, Fritos Chili Cheese has made the jump to from corn to potatoes.

As Stacy Taffet, senior vice president of brand marketing, Frito-Lay North America said, “What makes the Lay’s Flavor Swap lineup so much fun is the combination of flavors our fans know and love to create a new-but-familiar snacking experience. This year’s newest addition combines our Kettle Cooked variety and the popular Fritos Chili Cheese flavor to make a powerful addition to an already stacked lineup. We’re excited to re-release these iconic swaps after last year’s success and to continue delivering the flavor experience our fans are looking and asking for.”

Looking at the Kettle Cooked Fritos Chili Cheese flavor, it might be the boldest of the four offerings. Kettle Cooked chips often retain flavors more. In addition to the added crunch, this new flavor holds tremendous possibilities.

Given that Fritos are a popular chili topping, these chips could hold a new option. A layer of these chips on top of chili or another casserole might be the ultimate recipe combination. It might not be a walking taco, but the possibilities beyond the snack bag are many.

In addition to the new Kettle Cooked Fritos Chili Cheese, the other three flavors are back on store shelves. They are Lay’s Cheetos Flavor, Lay’s Doritos Cool Ranch Flavor and Lay’s Wavy Funyons Onion Flavor.

While everyone had their favorite last year, the Lay’s Doritos Cool Ranch Flavor was a huge hit. Even though people will never put down that Doritos bag, the reality is that the Cool Ranch flavor has versality. It basically goes with anything.

And, for people who love Funyons’ flavor but prefer a chip snack, this option delivered on that idea. Plus, the Wavy chip is great for dipping. Definitely pair this chip with some French Onion Dip for a double dose of onion goodness.

The Lay’s Flavor Swap chips are available now while supplies last. The suggest retail price is $4.59 for either a 7.75 oz, 8 oz) and $2.29 or 2.5 oz, 2.625 oz bag. The limited time offering is available while supplies last.

August 9, 2022 By Dayton937

Jackie Venson is a multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter known for her beautifully complex music and blazing guitar skills. Born and raised in Austin, Texas, Jackie has played to crowds across the world. With the disruption of the COVID-19 pandemic, the cancellation of her entire tour schedule, and the wave of social change sweeping across the country, Jackie committed herself to releasing more music than ever before, connecting with her fans directly, and speaking up about the change she wanted to see in her city and country. Her latest album ‘Love Transcends’, released in September 2021, is her first collection of music to focus on a central genre-the blues. With the uncertainty of the times we’re living in, one thing holds true for Jackie Venson – she’s going to play her music, speak her truth, and spread as much joy as she can do it.

Artisan Bread Returns to Emporium Wines & Underdog Cafe

August 9, 2022 By Dayton937

Emporium Wines & Underdog Cafe is historically known for the smell of warm baked goods, and fresh, homemade artisan bread. Due to the demand on production, the option for freshly baked bread diminished, and the only way to acquire it was on sandwiches, and the occasional release of whole loaves.
Beginning on Thursday, August 11, 2022, Emporium Wines & Underdog Cafe will begin selling fresh artisan bread exclusively on Thursdays on a first-come first-served basis. Each week, the bakery will determine the type of bread that will be featured, and will present it on Thursday mornings while supplies last.
To help further promote homemade cuisine, the cold-cut sandwiches will be discontinued, and Healthy Choice Lunch Wraps will be added to the menu to include: Spicy Vegan Hummus, Zesty Tuna Salad, Crispy Three Cheese, Flavored Chicken, and more. These fresh in-house recipes will provide a variety of healthy choice lunch options for both on-the-go, and dine-in.
There will also be new a la carte breakfast menu options added. Starting on Thursday, August 11th, guests will be able to order scrambled eggs, bacon or turkey sausage patties, and a biscuit individually or together as a complete breakfast meal. This addition provides even more options and flexibility when ordering.
They have also updated their brewed coffee refill policy to reflect appreciation for our guests who frequent the Cafe Living Room. After the purchase of a first cup of any sized brewed coffee, a refill will only be $1.50. (Applicable on 8oz. 12oz. 16oz, or equivalent.)
Friday Nights at Emporium Wines & Underdog Cafe will continue to be wine tasting night.
Learn more about the Natural Wine process, and the benefits of organic options. Then, stick around to jam to the evening’s guest band.
