Hardee’s Launches New Blueberry Biscuits & Chicken Tender Platters
Hardee’s is bringing a fresh taste of summer to breakfast menus with the introduction of its new seasonal Blueberry Biscuit. This new addition, featuring a warm, fluffy biscuit infused with blueberry flavor and topped with a sweet drizzle of icing, is available now through September 2, 2024 exclusively during breakfast hours.
Fans can enjoy Blueberry Biscuits in single, two-pack, or four-pack options, available for order during breakfast hours through the Hardee’s app or in-store. With summer holidays like Memorial Day and the Fourth of July around the corner, these biscuits provide a sweet start to summer mornings.

But the Blueberry Biscuit isn’t the only treat Hardee’s is serving up this season. Fans can also enjoy Hand-Crafted Lemonades and new Chicken Tender Platters, featuring three premium, all-white meat chicken strips, hand-dipped in buttermilk, lightly breaded, and fried to a golden brown. Each platter comes with a side of coleslaw, fries, and garlic toast.

Wendy’s Offers New $3 English Muffin Deal
Starting this week (and for a limited time only), Wendy’s is offering either a Bacon, Egg, & Cheese English Muffin or a Sausage, Egg, & Cheese English Muffin with a small order of Seasoned Potatoes for a total of $3. At my nearest location in Chicago, these English muffin options each cost $4.19 à la carte and the small order of Seasoned Potatoes costs $1.79, so the savings here is significant — a nearly a 50% discount.

As Carl Loredo, chief marketing officer at Wendy’s, explained at a media event in 2021, the development of Wendy’s breakfast menu back in 2019 started from a place of rivaling McDonald’s fast food breakfast supremacy, “saving consumers from folded egg sandwiches that were being served in the marketplace.”

Meanwhile, fans hungry for something hearty and flavorful can also order the new Sausage Breakfast Burrito. Inspired by the fandom of Wendy’s Bacon Breakfast Burrito launched earlier this year, this fully loaded morning meal includes a grilled sausage patty, fresh cracked eggs, seasoned breakfast potatoes, American cheese, and cheese sauce. All these ingredients are wrapped in a tortilla and served with two Cholula Original Hot Sauce Packets on the side for fans looking for an added spicy kick.

To promote the new additions, Jersey Mike’s will launch two television commercials and a digital advertising campaign. Additionally, outreach efforts will be made to MyMike’s loyalty members.
Jersey Mike’s Subs, with more than 3,000 locations open and in development, serves authentic fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs on in-store freshly baked bread — the same recipe it started with in 1956. Passion for giving in Jersey Mike’s local communities is reflected in its mission statement “Giving…making a difference in someone’s life.” For more information, please visit jerseymikes.com or follow us on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X.

Free Admission to U.S. Military and their Families this Summer at DAI.
The Dayton Art Institute (DAI) announced it will again join museums nationwide in the Blue Star Museums initiative, a program that provides free admission to currently serving U.S. military personnel and their families during the summer. The 2024 program will begin on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 18, 2024, and end on Labor Day, Monday, September 2, 2024.
The Blue Star Museums initiative is a partnership between the National Endowment for the Arts and Blue Star Families, in collaboration with the Department of Defense and participating museums across America. Together, these organizations offer families an opportunity to enjoy the nation’s cultural heritage and better connect with their new communities after a military move. Find the list of participating museums at arts.gov/bluestarmuseums.

“Each year, the DAI thanks military families and helps them build meaningful connections by participating in the Blue Star Museums initiative,” said DAI Director & President Michael R. Roediger. “Military personnel and their families represent a significant portion of our local community, and this is one way in which the DAI shows appreciation for their sacrifice. We look forward to opening the museum doors to our nation’s military families all summer.”
During the duration of the program, the DAI will offer free museum admission to those currently serving in the United States Military—Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy and Space Force, members of the Reserves, National Guard, U.S. Public Health Commissioned Corps, NOAA Commissioned Corps and up to five family members. Qualified members must show a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), DD Form 1173 ID card (dependent ID), DD Form 1173-1 ID card or the Next Generation Uniformed Services (Real) ID card for entrance into a participating Blue Star Museum. This includes admission to all Special Exhibitions, Focus Exhibitions and the DAI collection galleries. In addition, the DAI offers active-duty military personnel and their families a $10 discount on the purchase or renewal of an individual, duo or family membership.
For more information about planning a visit, including current museum hours and updates, go to www.daytonartinstitute.org/visit or call 937-223-4ART (4278). Boney James & Angie Stone Coming to Fraze
Fraze has just announced Boney James & Angie Stone with special guest Aneesa Strings will play the Fraze on Friday, June 28th at 8pm.
Boney James

Detour, on Concord Records, is chart-topping jazz/R&B sax player Boney James’ 18th studio album. Appropriately titled, this latest album is a subtle stylistic turn that builds on the commercial success of 2020’s Solid, his highest charting release ever on the pop charts, peaking in the Top 10 on the Billboard 200.
During his 30-year career, Boney has earned four Grammy nominations (“I’m not gonna lie… I’d still love a statue,” he says), two NAACP Image Award nominations and a Soul Train Award, while a dozen of his albums have landed at #1 on Billboard’s Contemporary Jazz Album chart. His collaborators in the past include a who’s who of R&B and soul: Raheem DeVaughn, Faith Evans, George Benson, George Duke, Dwele, Al Jarreau, Philip Bailey, Anthony Hamilton, Jaheim, Eric Benét, Dave Hollister, Stokley Williams, Kenny Lattimore and Angie Stone.
Angie Stone

A singer, MC, self-taught keyboardist, and prolific songwriter, Angie Stone’s first claim to fame was her membership in the Sequence, a pioneering hip-hop trio who arrived with “Funk You Up” (1979), the second release on Sugar Hill Records and the first rap single by an all-female group. Following a brief period with the post-new jack swing R&B act Vertical Hold, Stone began a fruitful and lasting solo career as one of neo-soul’s leading lights, known for providing sharp insight into romantic relationships with her smoky yet upfront voice. She established her solo career with a pair of gold-certified albums, Black Diamond (1999) and Mahogany Soul (2001), and added to her accolades with Grammy nominations in the R&B field for “More Than a Woman” (2002), “U-Haul” (2004), and “Baby” (2007). Increasingly occupied with acting roles, she has continued to record every few years, exemplified by deeply soul-rooted LPs such as Rich Girl (2012), Dream (2015), and Full Circle (2019).
Aneesa Strings

Aneesa Strings is a bassist, vocalist, and composer from Oakland, California. She began playing professionally and recorded her first jazz album at just 13 years old. Aneesa received her Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies at the University of Southern California in 2014, when she released her first solo album A Shift In Paradigm featuring her single “Simpin”, produced by Patrice Rushen in collaboration with SFJAZZ. In 2016, Ms. Strings earned her Masters of Music in Jazz Studies at Michigan State University where she toured as the lead singer of the Bebop Spartans Big Band under the direction of Rodney Whitaker. Ms. Strings is fresh off the release of her 2019 critically acclaimed sophomore album WAYS, and has continued to tour worldwide with the likes of Duckworth, Jose James, Kandace Springs, and many others.
