At my nearest location in Chicago, these English muffin options each cost $4.19 à la carte and the small order of Seasoned Potatoes costs $1.79, so the savings here is significant — a nearly a 50% discount.
As Carl Loredo, chief marketing officer at Wendy’s, explained at a media event in 2021, the development of Wendy’s breakfast menu back in 2019 started from a place of rivaling McDonald’s fast food breakfast supremacy, “saving consumers from folded egg sandwiches that were being served in the marketplace.”
Meanwhile, fans hungry for something hearty and flavorful can also order the new Sausage Breakfast Burrito. Inspired by the fandom of Wendy’s Bacon Breakfast Burrito launched earlier this year, this fully loaded morning meal includes a grilled sausage patty, fresh cracked eggs, seasoned breakfast potatoes, American cheese, and cheese sauce. All these ingredients are wrapped in a tortilla and served with two Cholula Original Hot Sauce Packets on the side for fans looking for an added spicy kick.
