The LaSalle brothers, Murphy, Mike, and Tim launched Belle of Dayton in 2013 after years studying the art of distillation under world renowned master distillers. They made a success of their first spirit, Dayton Small Batch Vodka, made from 100% corn spirits and distilled in their 350 gallon copper still at their Oregon District distillery. They’ve since rolled out a Dayton Gin and then Hells Vodka, made from seven of the hottest peppers on earth.
And now they are introducing their newest spirit, Habana Joe Spiced Rum – a handmade craft spirit, made from the finest ingredients utilizing natural organic spices and vanilla.
You can pick up a bottle at the Van Buren Room cocktail bar located inside the Belle of Dayton Distillery. “Since glass bottles are in such short supply we have embraced this fact and are releasing the new spirit in both a clear and dark green glass so we can meet demand.” Just like during the times of prohibition “you’ll take what you get!”
