Dayton Airport Parking Options

The Dayton International Airport has just announced an  increase in its parking rates for two parking options at the airport. The garage and long-term parking lot increased by $2/day.

Current rates are:

  • Garage: $22/day
  • Long-Term Lot: $12/day
  • Short -Term: $15/day
  • Economy Lot: $5 /day

The Valet parking which has been closed since covid, when open runs $24/day. More info here.

 

Based on this news, we reached out to the other major parking option when flying out of the Dayton airport. Park-N-Go has just announced a sale on parking. Located just a quick four minute ride from the airport they offer both Economy and Full-Service Valet parking at their facility at 1140 W National Rd, next to Airport Toyota.

Just park up front, come inside to check in, hand them your keys and give them your return flight info. They’ll transport you to the airport and park your car safely and securely on their lot. Your receipt will be inside the vehicle and they’ll load your luggage in your car.  With valet you also have options like having your car detailed and your oil changed while you are away. If you have a prepaid reservation, just pull up to the gate at the right side of the building. The license plate camera should read your plate and automatically raise the gate.  If not prepaid, just push the “ticket” button, pull a ticket from the machine, and the gate will open. Put the ticket in a safe spot in your vehicle (not on the dash, as the sun will bleach it out). Then drive to the rear of the lot and park in an empty spot. The shuttle is automatically alerted to your arrival and the driver will arrive at your rear bumper within minutes. Pop your trunk so they can find you quickly. They’ll load your luggage and take you to the airport.

Parking Costs at the Dayton International Airport

Effective May 14, the Dayton International Airport garage parking rate will be $20 per day max, a $2 increase, or $3 per half hour, which is a $1 increase from the current rates.  At this time there are no increases to Valet Parking, which has a daily maximum of $20.

 

“These changes will support the long-term goals of the airport while we continue to improve our service,” said Terry Slaybaugh, director of Dayton International Airport. “Once travelers experience how convenient parking on the airport property is, they’ll continue to think of the Dayton International Airport first every time they travel.”
Short Term parking is free for the first 30 minutes then $3 each additional half hour with a daily maximum of $24.  The Long Term lot is $2 per hour, with a daily maximum of $14 and the Economy Lot is $4.95/day. Ride the DAYrider courtesy shuttle, which circulates daily, directly to the Terminal from both the long term and economy lots.  In the Cell Phone Lot you can enjoy free parking and WiFi while you monitor flight information on the monitor, or wait for a call from arriving passengers. Vehicles may not be left unattended in this lot. which is a waiting lot is free.

DAYperks and DAYperks Corporate members will continue to automatically receive loyalty points when using the DAYperks card. Parking rates and lot locations are available at flydayton.com/parking-transport.

The parking team at the airport offers free vehicle assistance including tire inflation, battery charging, windshield wiper repair, fuel for empty gas tanks and towing. Travelers who park at the airport can request this free service by calling 937-898-1555.

The new concierge service team will also be available to assist travelers in the terminal as needed. They have the most up-to-date information on terminal construction to ensure minimal disruption in the passenger experience.

Other Off-Site Parking Options

 Located on National Road,  just a short 4 minute shuttle ride away from the airport, Park-N-Go offers a self serve lot with 24 hour shuttle service for just $5.95/day or valet service for $10.90/day.  The valet service will have your car warmed up and ready for your arrival back and if it’s snowed they’ll have your windows scraped as well. They also can arrange to have your car washed & waxed, oil changed or other repairs while its there. You can also check Groupon for frequent discount packages.

 

Located just minutes from Dayton International Airport , Thrifty Airport Parking offers  a safe and secure parking lot, so you can enjoy peace of mind while you travel. It is a self-park service and is open 4:30am until 12:30am, 7 days a week. During these hours, they provide complimentary shuttle transportation to and from the airport. Reservations are required and rates quoted upon availability.

Red Lion Suites, about 10 minutes away on Miller Lane offers parking airport parking for $3.99/day with 24 hour shuttle service.

Airport Announces Parking Incentives

dayton-airport-parking-map-1Economy lot parking at Dayton International Airport is now even more affordable. Through April 4, 2016, airport visitors may use the economy parking lot for a daily rate of $4.75 ($28.50 weekly), a savings of more than 20 percent.

To take advantage of the special rate, go to flydayton.com and follow the coupon printing instructions (the coupon must be presented to the economy lot cashier upon exiting).

Members of DAYperks, the airport’s new parking loyalty program, receive the special rate automatically during the promotional period. To sign up for DAYperks and receive even more advantages, register at flydayton.com/dayperks. Members save time with automated entry and exit, save money by earning points redeemable for free parking, and can easily manage their secure online DAYperks account. DAYperks membership is free.

Additional parking information for Dayton International Airport:

Reserved premium parking:  Parking spaces may be reserved on the second floor of the airport garage, just steps away from the elevators. To reserve a space, go to flydayton.com and look for “Your Spot is Waiting for You.” After paying a $3 per day fee, a premium parking reservation flier can be printed for placing on a vehicle dashboard. Reserved premium parkers are responsible for ordinary parking rates by pulling a ticket when entering the garage and paying the posted rate upon exiting.

New garage rates:  The second and third floors of the airport garage are just steps away from the terminal entrance and have a new rate of $18 per day. Visitors can enjoy the convenience of the covered walkway to the terminal.

Valet parking:  On-airport valet parking is available curbside at the terminal, with a new rate of $20 per day. Periodic customer appreciation specials will take place throughout the year.

Handicap parking:  Designated handicap parking is available at the lowest posted hourly/daily rate in the garage, the short-term lot and near shuttle pick-up in the economy lot. The DAYrider courtesy shuttles are lift-equipped.

Additional amenities include a free, Wi-Fi-enabled cell phone lot, where drivers can monitor flight information while waiting for calls from arriving passengers.

The short-term lot, adjacent to the terminal entrance, offers the first 30 minutes of parking free. All airport lots have a 10-minute grace period for customers who pull into the wrong lot or who are dropping off someone at a vehicle.
