Italian Eatery in Arcade Sets Opening Date!

Update # 4: They’ve changed the soft opening to tonight & tomorrow from 5-9pm and Friday and Saturday from 5-10pm with lunch rolling out next week.
Update #3 Wed, July 26th:  They are doing a soft opening for the next few days from 11:30am – 4pm  with a limited item of 9 items, to include Calamari, mussels, alfredo with shrimp or chicken.  They were waiting for a copy of the limited menu when I spoke with them today at 10:30am.  Reservations can be made at [email protected].
Update # 2: Looks like the hood inspection has delayed things again, so now it looks like the opening will be sometime the week of July 24th…

EST! EST!! EST!!! has set an opening date for their restaurant located at The Arcade.  According to their website July 13th is when they will make their Dayton debut. This modern Italian eatery will feature brick oven pizza, handmade pasta, gelato and more. The restaurant at the corner of Fourth and Ludlow will have an intimate feel with exterior and interior patio dining.

Their name comes from the story of a German Bishop who sent his servant ahead to taste the wines along his route of travel, leaving messages on the walls of inns and taverns to tell his master whether he should drink the wine or avoid it. “Est” (it is) meant the wine was good, while “Non est” (it isn’t) told the Bishop to move on. It is clear that the servant saw considerable virtue in the wines of Montefiascone, as indicated by his “Est! Est! Est!!! scrawled on the wall

Italian Restaurant Coming To Arcade

A fresh new concept featuring an Italian chef is set to open at the historic Dayton Arcade.

Est! Est!! Est!!! will open at 45 W. Fourth Street in the Arcade’s Commercial and Fourth Street Buildings. At the corner of Fourth and Ludlow Streets, this location will be an extension of Mayfair Hospitality’s flagship restaurant in downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina that has been in operation since early 2022.

Est! Est!! Est!!! will be led by Chef Simone Conosciani of Rome, Italy. “Being Italian, it has been a life-long dream of mine to bring authentic Italian cuisine to the United States. Living in the United States has given me nothing but further inspiration for all types of cuisine from around the world. The pure expression of culture through food, in my opinion, is magical”, said Chef Conosciani.

Construction on Est! Est!! Est!!!’s 5,520 sf space at the Dayton Arcade is set to begin in the next few weeks, with an anticipated opening date of spring 2023. Est! Est!! Est!!! joins a growing list of food-based businesses to open in the Dayton Arcade, including Gather by Ghostlight, Table 33, and the 6888 Kitchen.
