Moe's Southwest Grill

Moe’s Tequila Lime Chicken is Back

August 27, 2025 By Dayton937

Moe’s Southwest Grill brings back Tequila Lime Chicken – the most popular limited time protein offering of 2024 – with a tangy twist from Tajín.

Moe’s Southwest Grill announces their new collaboration with Tajín® to bring back Moe’s most popular limited time protein of last year, with a tangy twist – Tequila Lime Chicken* and a dash of Tajín – available starting August 26th.

Tequila Lime Chicken features Moe’s signature white meat chicken tossed in agave sauce with a smoky blend of lime, jalapeño, and garlic. To celebrate the return of the popular protein, the Queso Crunch Taco is also coming back for an encore. Indulge in a hard-shell taco wrapped in a soft tortilla with queso in between, featuring Tequila Lime Chicken and topped with Tajín Chile Lime seasoning.

“Our Tequila Lime Chicken was an instant hit last year and sold out in two weeks, and we’re excited to bring it back with the bold flavor of Tajín,” says Mike Smith, Chief Brand Officer at Moe’s Southwest Grill. “Tajín’s unique blend of natural chile peppers, lime, and sea salt perfectly complements Moe’s tangy Tequila Lime Chicken. Because what pairs better than the flavors of tequila and Tajín?”

For a limited time, guests can top off any Entrée with Tajín at no additional cost. Moe’s Southwest Grill continues to get creative with the endless ways to add bold flavors and customization to your meal, and Tajín is the latest limited time addition to Moe’s lineup of 20+ fresh and free ingredients.

“At Tajín, we’re passionate about providing a unique zest and kick to every dish,” says Juan Carlos Limon, Brand Marketing Manager at Tajín USA. “Our collaboration with Moe’s Southwest Grill and their Tequila Lime Chicken is a perfect fusion of our brands, delivering a vibrant taste experience that we know guests will love.”

But the flavor fiesta doesn’t stop there. Through September 7th, Moe Rewards Members can enjoy a Queso Crunch Taco on us** with purchase of any Entrée. Terms apply, see Moes.com for more details. These limited-time offerings are available while supplies last.

Moe’s Six Week of Giving

July 30, 2024 By Dayton937

Moe’s Southwest Grill Centerville announces “Six Charities – Six Weeks of Giving.” Every Tuesday evening from August 6 through September 10. 2024 from 3- to 8pm, SIX not-for-profit organizations will benefit through 15% of all store sales (not including third party orders – Door Dash, Grub Hub, etc.)

Jacob Mulvey, Owner at Midwest Roots LLC dba Moe’s Southwest Grill, stated, “Moe’s restaurants across the United States take pride in opportunities to support local charities. Although Moes (Centerville) has supported many charities since opening last year, this is the first concentrated effort to make an impact on local charities in the area in just six weeks.”  He adds further, “It’s a wonderful way to celebrate our first year at the Centerville location. While all charities matter, this year, our theme was Vets, Pets, and Kids.  We’re also going to allow each of the six charities to have information displayed in the stores, so that customers may learn about their impact and importance here in the Miami Valley.”

“Giving Tuesdays” are benefitting:

  • Humane Society of Greater Dayton Tuesday August 6;
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters Dayton Tuesday, August 13;
  • Fisher House (VA and WPAFB) Tuesday, August 20;
  • Victory Project Tuesday, August 27
  • 4 Paws for Ability Tuesday, September 3
  • Crayons to Classrooms Tuesday, September 10

Mulvey says, “For those that haven’t visited Moe’s SW Grill, this is a great chance to check out our menu made with fresh ingredients, and know that 15% will support a worthy local charity.”

Moe’s Southwest Grill Sets Opening Date!

October 3, 2023 By Lisa Grigsby

“Welcome to Moe’s!” will soon be heard in Centerville  when Moe’s Southwest Grill ® opens its doors next to McAllisters Deli on St Rt 725.  Featuring  burritos, quesadillas, tacos & more made from 20+ fresh ingredients.

Kid’s, vegetarian, gluten free, low-cal & catering options are available. And chips & salsa are free with every meal! You may want to add Moe’s famous queso to your order, it’s blended with 3 cheeses and diced jalapeños and it’s pretty darn good!

Owner and operator Jacob Mulvey shares that to celebrate its grand opening, on Friday at 10 am the first 50 customers in line will receive free burritos and bowls once a week for a year.

Moe’s Southwest Grill, referred to informally as Moe’s, is an American fast casual restaurant franchise chain that was founded in Atlanta, Georgia, in December 2000 by Raving Brands. Moe’s has since spread from Georgia to nearly all 50 states, and now boasts over 700 locations.

And in case you are wondering- there is no Moe. The name is an acronym for Musicians, Outlaws and Entertainers, a nod to the spirit of the people who founded the burrito company back in 2000. These Deadheads (AKA Grateful Dead fans) had a strong appreciation for creativity and boundary-pushing, a representative said, which is why they decided on an unconventional tack for naming dishes and decorating the store, infusing every bit with a pop-culture reference. Background music at Moe’s is a carefully curated playlist of tunes from deceased, influential musicians, from Frank Sinatra, to Jimmy Hendrix, to Amy Winehouse.

Sound familiar?  A different franchise operator had Moe’s on Brown Street and across from the Fairfield Commons in Beavercreek, but they were shut down by 2010.

And if you’ve read this far- we’ll share they’ll have a soft opening on Thursday! Tell them DaytonDining sent you!
