Village Family Restauran

Waynesville Restaurant Has a New Owner

May 10, 2019 By Lisa Grigsby

For over 40 years the Morley family has operated the Village Family Restaurant in Waynesville. Serving home cooked meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week this mom and pop eatery is know for their reasonable prices and their apple dumplings and pies.  It’s a great stop if you’re riding on the nearby Little Miami Bike Trail and it’s community room that seats 35 hosts many local meetings and events.

But there’s something really new about the place-   Lacie Sims is the new owner! Formerly Vice President of Operations at National Processing, Lacie may be better know for her homemade noodles each year at the Dayton Oktoberfest Lederhosen Lunch.

The Morley family shared this on their blog:

“So much has changed over the years but one thing has remained consistent, we have always worked hard to be more than just another business in the community but a rather a business that was part of the community. For numerous reasons we have decided that it is time for us to make a change and would like to announce that the Restaurant will have a new owner, Lacie Sims. Lacie will bring a new energy and enthusiasm to the business and we are very confident that the tradition of the Village Restaurant will continue. Waynesville will always be “Home” to us and we plan to continue to be part of the community both in business and our personal lives. We are especially grateful to our family members who have always been so vital to our success and to our dedicated and caring staff, both past and present. We will continue to assist Lacie for the next several weeks through the transition period. Please stop in to share a memory and to welcome Lacie to our community.”

Lacie shared this statement about her new endeavor with us:

“I have been incredibly fortunate to find a local business that is such a community treasure. I look forward to continuing the great work of the Lamm and Morley families. All of your favorites will remain unchanged. I look forward to actively supporting the area as Mike and Donna have so generously done for so many years. And yes, the poppy seed dressing will still be available!”

Sound like a great excuse for a drive down to Waynesville!
