Lyle Lovett and his Large Band Return to The Rose

July 22, 2024 By Dayton937

The upcoming performances will feature songs from across Lovett’s extensive catalog, including his latest album, 12th of June, which was produced by Lovett and Chuck Ainlay. Coupled with his gift for storytelling, the record further highlights Lovett’s ability to fuse elements of jazz, country, western swing, folk, gospel and blues in a convention-defying manner that breaks down barriers. Of the album, The Wall Street Journal hails, “Few artists can bring all of these moods and sounds into one place and put a personal stamp on them all; Lyle Lovett does that.”

Buffalo Nichols Bring The Blues to Levitt

July 15, 2024 By Dayton937

On his second album, The Fatalist, Carl “Buffalo” Nichols does things with the blues that might catch you off guard. There’s 808 programming, chopped up Charley Patton samples, washes of synth. There’s a consideration of the fullness of the sonic stage and the atmospherics of the music that can only come with a long engagement with electronic music. But this is no gimmicky hybrid or attempt to turn the blues into 21st century music by simply dressing it with skittering hi-hats. Nichols’ vision for the blues is of a form of music that’s intimately tied to everyday life in 2024, something that’s reflected not only in the choice of instrumentation, but in the complexities of the songwriting and the gray areas his lyrics explore. This is music that comes straight from the present, and as such, it’s a reminder that the same shit that drove the first blues singers to pick up a guitar is still present behind the throbs of deep bass hits today. The Fatalist sounds unlike any blues record you’re likely to hear in 2024.

Blues Singer Lauren Anderson at Levitt

July 9, 2024 By Dayton937

Lauren Anderson honed her blues-ridden, lyric-driven craft in the suburbs of Chicago. With an undergraduate degree in Opera and a Masters in Music Therapy, she now resides in Nashville, TN where she is a full-time musician. Although her talent stands alone with awards, such as Female Vocalist of the year in 2015 by the Midwest Music Awards and Best New Blues Artist in 2022 by the Independent Blues Awards, she has also shared the stage with the likes of Beth Hart, Samantha Fish and Mike Zito to name a few. She has co-written with writers, such as Sean Michael Kelly, previously in the band “Six Pence none the Richer” & Sandy Ramos, who wrote “The Chicks” 1998 hit, “Let ‘Er Rip”. Lauren just released her third, self-produced studio album in September 2022, titled, “Burn It All Down”, which debuted at #12 on the Billboard Blues Charts and she’s looking forward to her next adventure.

Old Crow Medicine Show

July 6, 2024 By Dayton937

25 years since we first journeyed across the continent with fiddles and banjos blazing, the unstoppable spirit of Old Crow remains,” says Ketch Secor. “Like every new year since the first, the guys and I are excited for another spin around the country. We’re grateful for the lifelong passionate love affair with our amazing audience and the incredible land we share. Come one, come all and join in our jubilee.”

The highly anticipated follow-up to Old Crow Medicine Show’s acclaimed 2022 album Paint This Town, Jubilee was co-produced with Matt Ross-Spang and features special guests including Mavis Staples, Sierra Ferrell, and Willie Watson, who recorded with the band for the first time in over 10 years on their single “Miles Away” (watch their recent performance here). The single spent nine weeks in the Top 10 at Americana Radio during an 18-week chart run.

Reverend Horton Heat at Levitt Pavilion

June 21, 2024 By Dayton937

Jim is a Revelator, both revealing & reinterpreting the country-blues-rock roots of American music. He’s a time-travelling space-cowboy on a endless interstellar musical tour, and we are all the richer & “psycho billier” for getting to tag along. Seeing Reverend Horton Heat live is a transformative experience. There’s nothing like the primal tribal rock & roll transfiguration of a Reverend Horton Heat show. Listening to the Reverend Horton Heat is tantamount to injecting pure musical nitrous into the hotrod engine of your heart. And no band on this, or any other, planet rocks harder, drives faster, or lives truer than the Reverend Horton Heat.

All concerts in the 2024 Eichelberger Concert Season are free and open to the public, no ticket or RSVP necessary.

All concerts begin at 7PM* with exception of select dates.

  • You can bring in lawn chairs or blankets as well as outside food and beverage – including alcohol (glass prohibited).

Curb Records recording artist Dylan Scott is a triple threat — a powerful vocalist with a deep, unmistakable drawl; an old-soul songwriter with a young spirit; and a family man with a tender heart.
