Franchise owners Rhonda and Tim Hobart opened ther first Huey Magoo’s Chicken Tenders in Englewood in May of 2022 and their second location in Centerville opens Monday, Oct 23rd.

The fast casual business has a simple menu, featuring breaded and grilled chicken options with sauces that include buffalo, lemon pepper, honey mustard, bbq, blue cheese, garlic parmesan and sweet heat. Their tender meals ( 3, 5 or 7 pieces) come with crinkly-cut fries and Texas Toast.  Coleslaw is also included with the 5 and 7 piece.
On my visit during the sneak preview I had the grilled tenders with the sweet heat sauce.

Also on the menu, sandwiches, wraps,  and salads.  Fountain drinks feature Coke products, tea- southern sweet, unsweetened and watermelon flavored, as well as Huey’s Leomonade. For dessert you can choose from cookies or banana pudding.

You order at the counter, are given a number to place on your table and a runner brings you your food when it’s ready.  The drink station is self serve with Coke products, southern sweet, unsweet and watermelon ice tea as well as lemonade.
Huey Magoo’s also offers catering that includes box lunches that can be made with tenders, sandwiches or wraps for just $8.99 with a minimum order of 1o.
Party packs of 15 – 25 include  tenders, dips, choice of 2 sides, Texas toast and pitchers of tea or lemonade.
Platters of tenders, trays of wraps or bowls of salad are also available.

About Lisa Grigsby

Lisa Grigsby is a Special Events Director with over thirty years experience in promotions, event coordination and public relations.

Owning Jokers Comedy Cafe for 20 years taught Lisa to maintain a sense of humor under pressure. She credits Leadership Dayton for exposing her to the amazing assets of the region and Clothes That Work for being her reason she stayed in Dayton. Her proudest accomplishment as a past president of the Miami Valley Restaurant Association was creating Restaurant Week, a twice a year tradition that continues to grow and benefit local charities as well. As a foodie, it's only natural that she continues to promote local restaurateurs with DaytonDining.

As a Dayton Catalyst, her desire to have ONE community calendar and advocate for the amazing assets of the region helped create the vision for the relaunch of DaytonMostMetro, now Dayton 937.com
