Epic Coffee Shoppe, located at the corner of Stroop & Far Hills, will officially open for business at 7am on Monday morning. Owners Brian Ernst and Laura Gorham of Kettering began construction on the shop last November, in the spot that formerly housed Sweet P’s Handcrafted Ice Pops. And what a transformation it is- Ernst’s flair for interior design is clearly evident in the elegant shop decorated in black and white with a pop of red.
The shop, which will be open 6 days a week, describe themselves as purveyors of fine artisan crafted coffees and desserts.
One of their specialties will be Affogato, an Italian-style coffee drink that with a scoop of ice cream that is topped off with a shot of hot espresso. Make it a Royale by adding a raspberry topping.
Other coffee drinks being offered include Cappuccino, Latte, Drip brewed blends, french press and pour overs coffees. A selection of organic teas, matcha, chai latte and hot chocolate are also on the menu.
Their food menu includes breakfast offerings like French Toast Dulce de Leche and a Monte Christo, lunch includes 3 salads, a daily freshly made soup and artisan sandwiches like:
Freshly baked breads, muffins and cookies will be availabel as well as cinnamon rolls and coffee cakes. Ice cream is also available in various forms, including cones, floats and shakes and a very intriguing sounding Belgian Eye Scream- which is a double shot of expresso blended with ice cream into a shake.
Their website shares they will host a variety of creative events ranging from open mic music night to children’s reading hour.
