Fresh off being named “Ohio’s Best Deli,” All The Best Delicatessen is expanding its menu with an exciting lineup of new sandwiches, starters, and breakfast offerings — including a fun new Friday special designed for soup lovers everywhere.

Introducing the new Soup Flight, available exclusively on Fridays for just $6.95. Guests can select any three soups from All The Best’s lineup and enjoy them served together in a charming sampler presentation. Together, the Soup Flight portions equal a full bowl of soup.

Soup Flight selections include:

Hearty Chicken Soup
Tomato Basil Bisque
Mushroom Beef Barley
Split Pea
Cold or Hot Beet Borscht

“Our soups have quickly become customer favorites, and we wanted to create a fun way for people to experience more than one at a time,” said Carin Solganik, Co-Founder of All The Best Delicatessen. “The Soup Flight is perfect for anyone who loves variety or can never decide which soup to order. In addition to the new Soup Flight, All The Best Delicatessen has introduced several new menu items, including:

The Big Spiel — turkey, salami, red onion, tomato, lettuce, Swiss cheese and apricot Dijon mayo
Vegetarian Sandwich — avocado, hummus, kalamata olives, cucumber, red onion, lettuce, tomato and honey whipped feta
Grilled Salami and Cheddar — served with apricot Dijon sauce

New starters now available include:

Hummus, served one of three ways:

Guests can also enjoy offerings from The Best Bar, the deli’s full-service bar featuring cocktails, beer, wine, and popular Happy Hour specials that complement the restaurant’s classic deli fare. All The Best Deli Debuts “The Best Bar”

All The Best Delicatessen, Dayton’s New York-style deli, announced an exciting new addition to its dining experience: The Best Bar. Nestled at the heart of the deli’s welcoming dining space, The Best Bar will offer guests a new way to enjoy their favorite meals—with thoughtfully crafted beverages and a warm, vibrant atmosphere.

Whether guests choose to sit at the bar itself or order a drink to enjoy with their meal, The Best Bar is designed to enhance the All The Best experience from breakfast through dinner. This full bar features a selection of cocktails, bottled and draft beers, white and red wines, and tasty bar bites. The bar will blend classic deli comfort with contemporary bar flair.

“This bar is a natural extension of what we’ve always strived for—creating a place where people feel at home while enjoying the best food and drink around,” said owner Lee Schear. “The Best Bar is about raising the bar—literally and figuratively—for what a deli can offer.”

Features of The Best Bar include:

Strawberry Lemonade Sunrise – a delicious taste of summer brought right to your seat
Rhinegeist Truth IPA and Warped Wing Trotwood Lager – supporting Ohio breweries

The Best Bar is set to officially open its doors to the public on July 8, 2025, with operating hours from 11:00 am – 8:00 pm Monday-Friday, and earlier for breakfast on the weekends.

“As we continue to grow, we’re staying true to our roots,” said co-founder Carin Solganik. “We want this to feel like the neighborhood deli people know and love—but with a few new twists that make it even better.”

All The Best will also be adjusting its breakfast offerings. Beginning in July, full breakfast will be available on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Dayton at Work & Play: All The Best Delicatessen

This week’s Buy Local Monday conversation is with Carin Solganik of All The Best Delicatessen.

When my wife and I moved to Dayton from Cleveland we found many things here that we loved, but we missed our regular visits to Corky and Lenny’s delicatessen. When I learned that Corky and Lenny’s was one of the inspirations for this Dayton restaurant I knew I had to try it.

Owner Lee Schear says he’s always wanted to bring an authentic New York deli to Dayton. He recruited Carin to set it up after she retired from Heinen’s Grocery store in Cleveland. “Before starting this restaurant I went to New York, Cleveland, Chicago, Houston, Las Vegas and elsewhere” she said “and I learned something at every stop about how to run a deli and how to source the best ingredients. I got lots of recipes from the delis I visited and had Lee taste them all. We ended up using all the best, which is where the restaurant’s name comes from.”

I tried their Ruben, and loved it. This will be definitely be one of my regular lunch stops. I’m looking forward to trying their cheesecake and comparing it to the cheesecake I loved at Corky and Lenny’s. Carin said she went through a lot of versions before choosing a cheesecake recipe. It’s made to their specifications by Sweet Butter Bakery in Cincinnati. They also carry baked goods from Cleveland’s Davis Bakery.

I tasted two of their soups and thought they were great. Carin told me they make their soups using stock they make themselves. They also make their own deli salads and even their own mustard. Carin says they’re doing everything they can to bring the best possible New York style deli food to Dayton.

This week All The Best has rolled out new deeply discounted daily specials for just $9.95. According to managing partner Bob Posner they’ve created these specials “to reward our guests for our first year of business and to encourage those that haven’t visited yet to come dine with us.”

Monday- any large salad (5 to choose from) with a drink – was $20 now $9.95

Tuesday- any reuben with fries and a drink- was $25 now $9.95- #1 seller

Wednesday-1/2 corned beef/pastrami sandwich with chips and a drink -was $15 now $9.95
Thursday – soup with a house salad and drink- was $17, now $9.95

Friday – half turkey sandwich with chips and a drink – was $15 now $9.95

“Part of the appeal of All The Best is that our dishes are classics that came from the old country and many of grew up with our grandmothers making this for us,” Posner shared. “We offer a warm, fun environment with a staff that goes out of their way to please everyone that comes in the door.

They added breakfast an Express Breakfast Drive-Thru Menu a couple months ago and Posner shared that breakfast is getting stronger and stronger. And while many folks are ordering and pickup at the window, many are also joining them in the dining room. Check out the breakfast menu here.
