Forced to reinvent themselves amid the COVID-19 crisis, Miami Valley restaurants-turned-takeout hubs now welcome the chance to bring comfort to another change-in-the-making: Easter meals to go.
“So much will be different this year for the holidays and for many, that won’t be easy,” said Joe Castellano, owner of Amber Rose, who switched to takeout after coronavirus restrictions forced dining-room closures.
“Many families are separated now or can’t travel to see each other, so big gatherings of family and friends won’t happen like they usually do,” Castellano said. “Traditional holiday foods can bring normalcy, familiarity through food. If we can help make that happen, I’m honored.”
