The Brightside Celebrates its Grand Opening

The renovated Vodvil Ballroom will be revealed at The Brightside’s Grand Opening on October 12, 2018.

The much anticipated grand opening of The Brightside Event & Music Venue is happening this weekend, Friday October 12th, 2018. Lots of love and labor has gone into this once forgotten space near the corner of 3rd & Keowee. Now this renovated industrial event space is ready for parties, weddings, concerts, art shows, and community events, right in the heart of downtown Dayton.

Owners and artists Carli & Hamilton Dixon started this project a decade ago, drastically transforming the space into multiple businesses, The Brightside being the final installment. They are ecstatic to invite the community to celebrate with them as they reveal their finished Vodvil Ballroom, in addition to the cozy bar space that has been open for events the last year. (To learn more about their story, click here)

The grand opening party will kick off with a two-hour VIP party, from 5:30-7:30pm, which requires tickets and will feature a ribbon cutting! Then the space is open to the public from 8pm-12am. Please feel free to drop in to check out this newest multi-use space in downtown Dayton!

500 Free Pizza’s To Celebrate Engewood Grand Opening!

Rapid Fired Pizza will be opening their newest restaurant at 1080 South Main St Englewood, Ohio on Monday, March 20th, followed by a 500-pizza giveaway on Tuesday, March 21st. “We are so excited to open our doors in the Northmont community”, says co-founder and former MVCTC graduate Kelly Gray. The ownership team also includes Northmont grad Anthony Despain. “If you haven’t tried Rapid Fired Pizza yet, come out for a free pizza on Tuesday! The pizza really is Amazingly Good® Amazingly Fast®” and the dipping sauces make Rapid Fired stand out above the rest”, says Despain, a 2013 Northmont grad.

Rapid Fired Pizza is a fast-casual pizza concept founded in Kettering Ohio that features fresh made, 11-inch thin crust and 9-inch pan and one-of-a-kind No-Doh pizzas cooked in 180 seconds. Customers can choose from eight sauces, eight cheeses, over thirty toppings, and nineteen dipping sauces to build their perfect pizza, or try one of the ten craft pizzas on the menu. The craft salads at Rapid Fired Pizza are all under 400 calories plus patrons can also create a custom salad to meet their personal taste and healthy eating goals. Bread Sticks, Cini Sticks and a variety of desserts are available at every store. Beer and wine will soon be on the menu at the Englewood location. The Pepsi Spire provides over 120 drink combinations. Location hours are 10:30 am to 10 pm Sunday- Thursday and till 11pm on Friday and Saturday.

The first Rapid Fired Pizza opened in September of 2015 and the chain expects to have at least 35 open by the end of 2017.

Who’s Camping Out For Free Chick-fil-A?

Nearly every week a new Chick-fil-A restaurant opens somewhere across the country. They celebrate each grand opening with the new communities we are joining. It’s all part of the signature First 100® event: a tradition that dates back to 2003 with an overnight parking lot campout that begins the day before the restaurant opening and, come daylight, rewards the first 100 customers with the ultimate prize of free Chick-fil-A meals for a year.  A digital offer card loaded with a one-year supply of free Chick-fil-A Meals — 52 meals consisting of a Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, medium waffle fries and a medium beverage — will be given to each of the first 100 eligible adults, ages 18 and older.

So Dayton residents get your tents ready, you can  start your camp out as early as 6am Wednesday,  as two new Chick-fil-A restaurants are opening this Thursday.
