Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich and New Pineapple Dragonfruit Beverages at Chick-fil-A

Chick-fil-A® is celebrating the start of spring with vibrant new flavors to kick-start the warmer days. Starting March 17, the Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich returns to menus nationwide, this time featuring three options for Guests to create their own customized smoky twist. Also making its debut – and a perfectly sweet pairing – are the new Pineapple Dragonfruit beverages, also available at participating restaurants nationwide for a limited time.

A Bold Twist on Backyard Flavors: Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich
This spring, the Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich is back – this time with three filet options for Guests to customize their sandwich – original and spicy, alongside the classic grilled filet. The juicy chicken is paired with crispy bacon hand-tossed in a brown sugar and black pepper blend, topped with Colby Jack cheese, green leaf lettuce and a smoky BBQ sauce, served on a toasted, buttery, sweet yeast bun.

Spring’s Sweet Escape: Pineapple Dragonfruit Beverages

Chick-fil-A’s new Pineapple Dragonfruit beverages combine sweet and juicy pineapple flavors, along with a unique, tropical dragonfruit twist, featuring a line-up of four refreshing options:

  • Pineapple Dragonfruit Frosted Lemonade
    • This treat combines Chick-fil-A® Lemonade (or Diet Lemonade) and our signature Icedream® dessert, mixed with natural pineapple and dragonfruit flavors.
  • Pineapple Dragonfruit Lemonade
    • This combination is a mix of classic Chick-fil-A® Lemonade (or Diet Lemonade) and natural pineapple and dragonfruit flavors.
  • Pineapple Dragonfruit Iced Tea
    • Freshly-brewed daily from a blend of tea leaves, the Pineapple Dragonfruit Iced Tea mixes classic Iced Tea with natural pineapple and dragonfruit flavors.
  • Pineapple Dragonfruit Sunjoy®
    • This beverage combines Chick-fil-A’s Sunjoy® beverage (Chick-fil-A® Lemonade and freshly-brewed Sweetened Iced Tea) with natural pineapple and dragonfruit flavors.

Testing a New Take on a Classic Treat
Chick-fil-A is also introducing two new ways to enjoy its signature Icedream® dessert with a playful twist on a classic – the Icedream Spin and Icedream® Float, testing exclusively in participating restaurants in Chicago, Salt Lake City, San Diego and Tampa, Fla.  

  • Icedream Spin
    • This new spin on a classic treat features our signature Icedream dessert hand-spun with your choice of fountain beverage for a creamy texture and delicious taste.
  • Icedream® Float
    • A classic float, with your choice of fountain beverage, made special with a swirl of our signature Icedream dessert.

Both options are available now for a limited time at participating locations in test markets.

Get Free Chick-fil-A for Cow Appreciation Day

Tuesday, July 11, 2017 is Cow Appreciation Day and Chick-fil-A is celebrating by giving away a free entree to any customers dressed up like a  cow!

The definition of this look is really quite liberal.  It can be cow-spotted accessories to a full cow suit!

So sport some spots and head to your nearest Chick-fil- A on Tuesday from open until 7pm and enjoy a free breakfast sandwich, fried chicken sandwich or even their new Smokehouse BBQ Bacon sandwich, really any entree, for free!  But you’ll still have to pony up for waffle fries and your drink!

Chick-fil-A Now Offers Gluten Free Bun

This month, Chick-fil-A is introducing a gluten-free bun to our menu. Made from a mix with ancient grains—like sorghum, amaranth, millet, quinoa and teff— this new bread option makes sandwich-eating-on-the-go easier for those looking to eat less or no gluten in their diet.  Its new bun is made with quinoa and amaranth and sweetened with molasses and raisins. It contains 150 calories and costs an additional $1.15.  Chick-fil-A will be one of a few fast-food restaurants to offer a gluten-free bread.

“We know our customers are looking for more gluten-sensitive alternatives. They asked, and we listened,” said Leslie Neslage, senior consultant of menu development at Chick-fil-A. “We heard positive feedback in test markets that the bun tastes better than some other gluten-free breads. That’s because instead of rice flower, we’ve made the bun with more premium ingredients like quinoa and amaranth. Our hope is that the Gluten-Free Bun addition opens up options for gluten-sensitive customers to enjoy more of our menu.”

In addition to the new bun, here’s a list of other gluten-free items at Chick-fil-A. These items are sealed to prevent cross-contamination with other items in our kitchen made with gluten.

Who’s Camping Out For Free Chick-fil-A?

Nearly every week a new Chick-fil-A restaurant opens somewhere across the country. They celebrate each grand opening with the new communities we are joining. It’s all part of the signature First 100® event: a tradition that dates back to 2003 with an overnight parking lot campout that begins the day before the restaurant opening and, come daylight, rewards the first 100 customers with the ultimate prize of free Chick-fil-A meals for a year.  A digital offer card loaded with a one-year supply of free Chick-fil-A Meals — 52 meals consisting of a Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, medium waffle fries and a medium beverage — will be given to each of the first 100 eligible adults, ages 18 and older.

So Dayton residents get your tents ready, you can  start your camp out as early as 6am Wednesday,  as two new Chick-fil-A restaurants are opening this Thursday.
