Thunderbolts Premiere with Harley Davidson At The Dixie Drive-In!
It’s Drive-in Season and the Dixie is open with a new sign and some new movies! Marvel’s THUNDERBOLTS opens this weekend, May 2nd, and Harley Davidson of Dayton is partnering up with the Dixie for the Friday screening including a poster give-away and the brand new Harley Davidson on display as seen in the new movie THUNDERBOLTS!
It’s Opening Weekend at the Drive-In
The Dixie Twin Drive-In Theater is a classic example of Americana that offers current day value with a touch of nostalgia. Located in Dayton, Ohio, “The Dixie” has 2 huge Screens, each with its own State-of-the-Art Digital Projector. We feature “First-Run” movies and play 2 movies per screen, per night, for an unmatched outdoor movie theater experience.
Starting this weekend, the outdoor movie season begins Friday & Saturday nights and expands to 6 nights per week (Closed Mondays) from Memorial Weekend through Mid-August. Toward summer’s end, they’ll go back to a Friday & Saturday schedule until the season ends around end of October.
📽 🍿 Movies start at dark and there’s a full Concession Stand of popcorn, pizza, burgers, chicken fingers, hot dogs, nacho’s, soft pretzels, ice cream, candy, slushies, fountain & bottled drinks, gatorade, hot cocoa, coffee and even custom Dixie Merch! A short intermission in-between the first and second movie, allows for bathroom breaks and last chance purchases of concessions . Bathrooms are located on the north side of our Concession Stand.

You can sit in front of or behind your car to prevent taking up more parking spaces. They ask that you do not sit on top of your car. Forgot your lawn chair? You can purchase one at the concession stand! Sometimes car speakers aren’t loud enough to hear the movies, bring a portable radio if you plan on sitting outside of your car during the movie.

Movies play rain or shine! However, if the weather is bad enough that it’s preventing them from playing the movies, they will issue rain checks to all cars to come back on another night
The grounds of the Dixie Twin are also home to a Sunday morning outdoor shopping experience! Visit The Paris Flea Market Sundays, 6:00am to 12:00 noon (seriously, people are shopping at 6 am with flashlights), starting April through October.

Party With Your PJ’s On at the Dixie Twin!
It’s time to celebrate our 6th annual “Party With Your PJ’s On!” event at the Dixie Twin Drive-In! This year’s PJ Party will feature the new release of the film Ice Age: Collision Course.
The fun begins at 7:00PM on Friday, July 22, 2016 at the Dixie Twin Drive-In, located at 6201 N. Dixie Drive, Dayton, OH 45414
“Scrat’s epic pursuit of the elusive acorn catapults him into the universe where he accidentally sets off a series of cosmic events that transform and threaten the Ice Age World. To save themselves, Sid, Manny, Diego, and the rest of the herd must leave their home and embark on a quest full of comedy and adventure, traveling to exotic new lands and encountering a host of colorful new characters.”
Not only is this fun family film open to the public – but the first 250 kids that come into the Dixie Drive’s concession stand will receive FREE popcorn, and FREE soda in an Ice Age: Collision Course Collectable Cup! So be sure to get there early!
Additional activities, such as Face Painting and an Inflatable Slide, will be available for small fees.
Dixie’s concession stand will be open as soon as the gates open at 7:00PM with plenty of snacks and dinner items to enjoy: Hot popcorn, pretzels, nachos, pizza, burgers, hotdogs, hot wings, chicken tenders, onion rings, poppers, fountain drinks, bottle beverages and more! Plus , the Dixie has a wide selection of ice creams and candies to suit everyone’s tastes!
Dixie Twin Drive-In Ticket prices are $8.00 for age 13 years and over, $2.00 for ages 5-12 and kids 0-4 years are FREE!
