Sweeney Todd Opens Thursday
In the spirit of Halloween TheatreLab Dayton will tell the infamous tale of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. The unjustly exiled barber returns to London after 15 years, seeking vengeance against the lecherous judge who framed him and ravaged his young wife.
The road to revenge leads Todd to Mrs. Lovett, a resourceful proprietress of a failing pie shop. Her luck sharply shifts when Todd’s thirst for blood inspires the integration of an ingredient into her meat pies that has the people of London lining up…and the carnage has only just begun!
Having been awarded eight Tony’s for its Broadway Premiere, Sweeney Todd is a bloody success! The musical has since shocked and delighted audiences across the world.

Rotary Project makes using the bike trail safer
Have you traveled the Great Miami River Recreation Trail for exercise, for your commute, or just for fun? No matter the reason, accidents can happen. And thanks to a new sign marking project, the trail just got a little safer for you.
If you need help, you should call 911 and tell them your location. But what if you don’t know where you are? Because the trail is over 70 miles long, and many sections travel through remote areas, it can be difficult for emergency responders to locate you quickly when you need help.
To be rescued, you have to know where you are on the trail. You might not remember the last trailhead you passed, or you might not know the name of the closest street. To make it easier to find you, each bike trail sign post is now clearly marked with a numbering system that is uploaded in the dispatch system.
Funded by the Rotary Club of Dayton, this project was implemented by the Miami Conservancy District. Thanks to emergency responders in the City of Franklin and Warren County, the numbering system is now part of the Dispatch database, just like a street address. Each bike trail sign post was assigned a unique number, and each sign post is geo-located so they can navigate to you more quickly.
To use the markers in the case of an emergency, just call 911, and tell the dispatcher your location using the number on the bike trail sign post.
We want you to stay safe on the trail – and thanks to our partners – it just got a little safer.
Have fun, stay safe, call 911 for emergencies.

McCoy on Movies: HALLOWEEN ENDS
Horror franchise delivers most definitive chapter yet to finally bring closure to the story of Laurie Strode and Michael Myers
DIRECTOR: David Gordon Green
Enter Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell).
Babysitting Halloween night in 2019 for a local rich couple, an accident occurs that forever changes his life. Now, in Michael’s absence and Laurie’s lack of activity – she is writing a book and trying to move on with her life – Corey’s unfortunately become the town pariah, except to everyone but one person: Allyson (Andi Matichak), Laurie’s granddaughter that she has taken in following the murder of her parents by – you guessed it – Michael.
