Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is partnering with Back The Heroes Rumble’s on their Operation Open Arms program in a round up campaign where patrons can round up their total and donate the difference this October. These funds 100% benefit the lives of first responders by providing lifesaving equipment to our law enforcement and firefighters across Ohio, Indiana & Kentucky.
Freddy’s goal is to ensure all officers and firefighters have resources such as emergency trauma kits, high grade particulate protective hoods and more to aid in their efforts while they serve and protect our communities. It is their hope that providing these resources will ensure our first responders make it home to their families safely each night. You can participate in the round up campaign anytime you visit Freddy’s (dine in or drive thru) between October 1st and 31st.
“We have been blessed by so many individual supporters as well as support from our many corporate partners and to now be joining forces with Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers. We would not be able to save the lives of so many heroes without their support. As a one hundred percent volunteer organization like ours, all donations make a direct impact,” said Executive Director, Carl Whalen.
As of today, Freddy’s has provided critical resources and lifesaving equipment to 22 police/fire departments to the tune of nearly $34,000 since Operation Open Arms program began. “There are many officers under attack these days, more than ever before. We must, as a community, do everything in our power to support them so we are able to ensure the safety of our communities. Without the help of our donors and sponsors, we would not be able to help save the lives of those who answer the call so selflessly every day,” says Jason Marsh, the program director.
