Dayton Native Zac Pitts, a local tv host and member of the band Flee the Valley and his business partner (and fiancee) Ashley Karsten have just announced the launch of their passion project, Sound Valley! Their goal with SV is to put Dayton’s music scene on the map by promoting local shows, interviewing local bands/artists and highlighting Dayton’s rich history of music and art.
To celebrate the launch, they are hosting the first ever Sound Valley Summer Music Festival at Yellow Cab Tavern on Saturday, September 1st. The festival will feature more than 10 bands from all over the Miami Valley. There’ll be 2 stages (indoor and outdoor), food trucks and much more.
Their vision with Sound Valley is to build our community through music.
A portion of the proceeds from the music festival will be donated to Brigid’s Path. Zac shared this announcement on his facebook page saying “Let’s be a city that is nationally recognized for its music, not it’s heroin epidemic. I’ve always been passionate about music and my hometown. . There are countless people who’ve helped me get to where I’m at in my career and now is my chance to give back to the city that made me who I am.”
Please follow Sound Valley on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and let’s continue to build Dayton together.
