May 2, 2025 By Dayton937

Known as “the Olympics of beer,” the World Beer Cup is the most prestigious beer competition in the world, held annually in conjunction with the Craft Brewers Conference® & BrewExpo America®.  The Brewers Association recognized 349 winners during the 2025 World Beer Cup awards ceremony on May 1, 2025.

Kettering’s own Eudora Brewing Company came home with a silver medal in the Brown Porter Category for their Mother Fuggle Ale.

With an  ABV of 6% and an IBU rating of  28 Eudora describes this brew as rich an dchocolatey, with notes of dark caramel, coffee and roasted nutts.  Mother Fuggle uses 100% English Fuggle hope and is a hybrid of the traditional English style brown ale and the more modern American style brown ale.

Chuck a Buck for Charity:Water!

August 19, 2020 By Dayton Most Metro

Eudora Brewing Company is inviting customers to give back—and testing their athletic ability—with a new philanthropic installation Chuck A Buck For charity:water.

Neil Chabut (owner) and Craig Chabut (of Chirp Custom Woodworks, who made the water droplet on the wall as Eudora’s tap handles.

Chuck A Buck For charity:water invites customers to toss spare dollars— perhaps those left over after paying for a beer—into one of three jerrycans mounted on the wall in order to help fund clean water projects across the globe. Since opening 2013, Eudora has donated a portion of every purchase made at the brewery to Charity: water, a world-renowned 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to bringing clean water to people in need. Once Eudora’s donations can fund an entire water project for a community, the money is put into action building and repairing water wells, filtration systems, rain catchments, and other essentials for reliable, clean water. The jerrycans will be checked every few months to be counted and added to the brewery’s total donations to charity:water.

Most recently in mid-2019 the brewery was able to fund the construction of new water points in Malawi, one of Africa’s most densely populated and least developed countries. The brewery will track donation progress on the water wall beneath the jerrycan game, alongside information about charity:water and current funded projects.

Guests are still asked to mind social distancing mandates and safety concerns while making their contributions during COVID-19. Guests are encouraged to try chucking their bucks on their way to their seat or while exiting the building. Why not go home with a win under your belt, right?

Eudora Brewing Company is located at 3022 Wilmington Pike and is open 4pm-10pm Tuesday-Friday, 12pm-10pm Saturday and 12pm-8pm Sunday with kitchen service ending 30 minutes before close.

Eudora Brewing Company Launches Summer Menu

June 18, 2019 By Dayton Most Metro

Eudora Brewing Company is saying hello to summer with a fresh list of sandwiches, salads and burgers featuring locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients. Take a peek at the new menu items that debut today, June 18th at the Kettering brewery.

Eudora’s summer menu features five new items as well as a few seasonal-ingredient swaps such as subbing strawberries for grapes on the signature Eudora Salad. The brewery has been slowly introducing items such as the Jerk Chicken Sandwich with jerk chicken, cinnamon orange aioli, lettuce, jalapeño,and grilled pineapple on a French roll, the Bangarang Tacos featuring Bangarang IPA pulled chicken with pico de gallo, queso fresco and lettuce, and The Cowboy burger with Thunderball Stout barbecue sauce, pepper-jack cheese, bacon, fried onion petals and a fried egg.

Other new items include: The Bebop, a smoked teriyaki burger topped with chili mayo, lettuce, muenster cheese, and grilled pineapple, a Caprese Salad of fresh basil, heirloom cherry tomatoes, Greta’s Grillin cheese and a balsamic reduction, and Eudora Nachos topped with Bangarang IPA chicken, Sundowner Blonde beer cheese, pico de gallo, and cilantro lime sour cream.

“Our goal with the new menu items was to utilize as much Eudora beer as possible while featuring more local ingredients,” said Eudora Kitchen Manager Dylan Hardin. “Selfishly, I’m most excited for the Jerk Chicken Sandwich and The Cowboy, which are both partly inspired by my parents.”

he menu will run into fall, at which time the brewery may re-introduce some favorite winter menu items as well as experiment with new fall and winter flavors.

Eudora Open New Tap Room This Friday

January 9, 2019 By Lisa Grigsby

It was one of the worst kept secrets in the beer business, when news of Eudora Brewing Company‘s expansion started leaking out last year.  Owner Neil Chabot opened the original brewery in November of 2013 in a strip center on Wilmington Pike in Kettering. Their 3 barrel brewing system just couldn’t keep up with the demand and the tap room was often at capacity.  They officially announced the new location last summer and the move wouldn’t be far, just a couple miles north on Wilmington Pike.  The new location, just south of Dorothy Lane is an old Pep Boys auto shop and is 20,000 square feet,  about six times the size of the original space, which shut down in October so they could start the move.

I was lucky enough to get a sneak peek of the new facility, which will open to the public this Friday at 4pm. My first impression- WOW!  The spot is huge, wide open and really inviting!  They’ve kept enough of the original breweries decor and feel to make it feel familiar, but now it’s ready for big crowds!

Coming with them from the old spot were the Brew Your Own kettles, Eudora is the only place in the Miami Valley where customers can book time to brew their own beer.   Whether you’ve brewed before or you have no idea what you’re doing, their staff will guide you through every step of the process and make it as easy and as fun as possible. It’s a great team building experience, can serve as a fun idea for a bachelor party and the best part can be creating your own beer label. Al

Reservations for this brewing experience is on hold, as they have some equipment repairs to make, but they’ll begin taking reservations soon.

GAMING AREA

The pinball machine and video gaming systems also made the move and the have their own expanded dedicated area in the new venue.  Adding to the fun is the vintage bowling game and an expanded selection of board games and tables to spread out and play.

New additions to the tap room include two pool tables, which will offer free play, a large lounge area in front of the fireplace with leather couches, a huge patio with seating for over 100 and areas for cornhole as well as a fire pit.

charity: water

Also continuing, Eudora Brewing Co. will donate a portion of EVERY sale toward funding a water project for those in need of clean water.  They donate to a charity called “charity: water” whose mission is to end the water crisis happening all over the world. They’re a non-profit organization that donates 100% (yes, 100%) of the money contributed to help people in need of clean water. With each purchase you make at Eudora, you’re helping charity: water build wells and water purification systems in villages, schools and clinics in areas where water is difficult to obtain.

The custom built bar made locally by Jett’s Creek Woodworking is huge and gives plenty of spots to belly up to the 18 taps  and a nitro cold brew coffee system as well.

The new brewing system has increased to a 10 barrel brewing  system, and with the addition of brewmaster Jeff Fortney to the crew, Eudora has been brewing to get ready for the onslaught of beer lovers that have been awaiting a pint of Mother-Fuggle, Bangarang, The Bees-Kees or Thunberball.

Private Party Room

Speaking of Thunderball, that’s the name of the private room, available for booking for private functions.  Seating about 30, it’s decked out with table seating, a tv, whiteboards with a great view of the brewing area. Rates will run about $25-$50/hour, based of

Eudora Kitchen

But the biggest addition to Eudora is the new kitchen!  Owner Chabot knows a lot about brewing beer, but admits he knows nothing about running a kitchen, so he contracted with consultant Jonathan Kouse of Chef Therapy Group to help design the kitchen, hire Dylan and James for the kitchen crew and create the menu offerings.

Here’s the opening menu, but remember this is  new and menu items and prices will probably change as they work through the opening weeks of the  new eatery.
