Graeter’s Ice Cream, America’s oldest family-owned and operated craft ice cream maker, is dropping a surprise seventh bonus flavor in its Summer Bake Shop Collection for a limited time: Caramel Apple Pie.

This new flavor is the perfect transition from shorts to sweatshirts. It’s an indulgent cinnamon-apple ice cream swirled with warm spices, featuring tender, spice-infused apple bits and golden pieces of buttery pie crust. It’s like eating a slice of homemade apple pie with every creamy bite.

Caramel Apple Pie is available starting today by the scoop and in pints at all Graeter’s scoop shops. Pints are also available online for nationwide shipping at Graeters.com.

Graeter’s Unleashes the Beast Feast!

Graeter’s Ice Cream has unleashed its latest creation: Beast Feast: Cookie Dough Unleashed.

The limited-time flavor, inspired by Kings Island’s iconic wooden roller coaster, The Beast, debuts today as part of Graeter’s summer Bonus Flavors, the Bake Shop 2025 collection.

The Beast Feast is a thrill ride for your taste buds, featuring monster chunks of sugar cookie dough with colorful rainbow sprinkles swirled into a creamy cookie butter ice cream base.

The flavor is a tribute to the adrenaline-pumping fun of The Beast, which has been thrilling riders since 1979 with its record-breaking 7,361-foot track—more than 1.4 miles long—and a ride time of over four minutes. Kings Island crews recently replaced over 1,600 feet of the coaster’s track, ensuring it remains a legendary experience for years to come.

“This collaboration captures the joy of two Cincinnati icons,” Chip Graeter, fourth-generation owner of Graeter’s Ice Cream said. “It’s cookie dough unleashed, just like the roller coaster itself. You won’t want to miss this one!”

Beast Feast is available for a limited time at Graeter’s scoop shops, by the pint at Graeters.com for nationwide shipping, and by the scoop at Graeter’s location on International Street at Kings Island.

Graeter’s Reveals First Summer Bonus Flavor of 2025

Graeter’s Ice Cream  has announced Cinnamon Sticky Bun is the first bonus flavor of the season dubbed “Bake Sale summer.”

The cinnamon ice cream is swirled with brown sugar and sticky bun dough, finished with crunchy toffee pieces. It’s only around for a limited time, so get a pint today before its too late.
Other new flavors coming to the menu this summer include Lemon Blueberry Crumble, Pineapple Passion Sorbet, Minty Brownie, and Caramel Pecan Cheesecake. Details about these flavor releases will be announced throughout the summer.

The new flavor, which is Star-D Kosher Certified, is available at Graeter’s shops by the scoop and in pints. You can also purchase the pints online at Graeters.com. 

Newest Graeter’s Flavor is Sweet as Pie

Here’s the scoop on Graeter’s Ice Cream latest bonus flavor of the summer. Lemon Meringue Pie, is the third of five bonus flavors from the company this year.  Lemon Meringue Pie is made with tart lemon candies, crunchy pie crust pieces and lemon marshmallow ice cream.

Graeter’s also announced a new “secret menu item,” a Lemon Meringue Pie sundae. The sundae features white bundt cake, strawberry topping, Lemon Meringue Pie ice cream and marshmallow topping. It is available while supplies last.

As will all Graeters’ bonus flavors, they are a limited-time offering, and once the flavor is gone, it is retired for the year.

The other bonus flavors that debuted earlier this year were Dough’licious, a caramel brownie batter ice cream loaded with peanut butter dough, cookie dough and brownie pieces and Hot Honey Crunch which is a crunchy honeycomb with  sweet icing pieces combined with a little heat.

Fritz & Fiona’s Sundae Fundae at the Zoo

On Sunday, July 30th from 6 -8pm the Cincinnati Zoo is hosting  Fritz & Fiona’s Sundae Fundae Fundraiser. Tickets for this event run $30, and can be purchased online.  Zoo members get discounted tickets.

This sweet event offers a double-dip of Fritz & Fiona and delicious Graeter’s ice cream.  Fritz & Fiona’s Sundae Fundae will take you around the Zoo for an ice cream sampling where you will be able to see some of your favorite animals enjoying their outdoor habitats after hours.

As you wander through the Zoo, sample delicious Graeter’s Ice Cream at stations around the Zoo! Guests also get free train and carousel rides during this event!

 

 

 

Upon arrival, guests will receive their Graeter’s Ice Cream passport to show for a scoop at each of the 6 sampling stations.

Graeter’s Ice Cream Releases First Summer Bonus Flavors

Graeter’s Ice Cream continues its tradition of bonus flavors released each summer. Today they’ve announce the first of five bonus flavors that will be available for a limited time and it’s  Dough’licious.

Graeter’s describes the flavor as “a Caramel brownie batter ice cream loaded with peanut butter dough, cookie dough and brownie pieces.”

Each bonus flavor remains a secret until the day of its release, and will only be available for a limited time. Graeter’s says, “Once the flavor is gone from scoop shops and online, the flavor is retired for the year.”

The Newest Graeter’s Ice Cream Flavor is Here

Graeter’s Ice Cream has release its fourth bonus flavor of the summer Candy Bar Chip.

Their description of this sweet treat is  peanut nougat ice cream with candied peanuts and milk chocolate chips.

Graeter’s has a summer tradition of releasing these bonus flavors for a limited time. Previously this summer they’ve offered Strawberry Cheesecake, Frozen Hot Chocolate  and Churro.  As with all the bonus flavors, they make one batch, release them and when they are gone they retire the flavor. We expect one more bonus flavor to come out in August.

Graeter’s LAST Bonus Flavor of the Season

It started back on May 15, 2017 with Orange & Cream! About every few weeks over the summer Graeter’s Ice Cream released a new summer bonus flavor, available for a limited time. It started with Orange Cream, followed by Dark Chocolate Fudge Brownie. Banana Chocolate Chip, Butterscotch and Latte, Caramelized Chocolate,  Peanut Brittle, S’mores, Oatmeal Raisin Cookie and now finally this week the very last summer flavor is released.

Vanilla Malt Chocolate Chip is considered a Limited Time Only flavor, for once the flavor is gone from scoop shops and online, the flavor is retired for the year.

Fiona Inspires Chunky Chunky Hippo Ice Cream

Greater’s Ice Cream has just announced that a brand new flavor- Chunky Chunky Hippo- inspired by the public’s infatuation with Fiona, the baby hippo at the Cincinnati Zoo. Born six weeks premature at just 29 pounds in January, less than 1/2 the weight of the  lowest recorded birth weight for a hippo.  Folks immediately fell in love and tuned in for updates from the zoo.  Fiona recently weighed in at over 325 and in now on track, hitting normal hippo milestones.

“There are two things in life guaranteed to bring a smile to your face – ice cream and Fiona, the baby hippo,” said Chad Yelton, Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden vice president of marketing and communications

The limited-time flavor, a toffee ice cream base with salted, roasted peanuts and milk chocolate caramel truffles, will be sold in small batches at Graeter’s shops in Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Dayton and Oxford, as well as some sales at the zoo and at graeters.com.  The best part is a portion of proceeds benefit the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden.
