Shrimp Cocktail for 75 cents, an 18 0z Porterhouse Steak for 3.75, lobster tail for $2.75 and 25 cents for Stewed Tomatoes. Yep, that’s what you’ll pay at The Pine Club if you’re lucky enough to receive one of their Golden Menu’s as part of the restaurants 75th anniversary.
“Stepping into The Pine Club is like stepping back in time,” says Pine Club General Manager Karen Watson. “We’re definitely not in the habit of changing things up that much over here, but 75 years is a big accomplishment and we thought it would be fun to offer up something special like this Golden Menu to our loyal guests.”
Among the other items from the 1947 Menu are dishes, Broiled Lamb Chops for $2.85, Chopped Beef Tenderloin Steak for $2.10, the Pine Club House Salad for $0.35, and a $0.25 Baked Potato. A full dinner menu will be posted in the restaurant, along with a 1947 drink menu, so guests can have a little idea of how things were three quarters of a century ago.
The Pine Club, which famously does not take reservations, is open Monday-Saturday starting at 4:00 PM. One Golden Menu will be “hidden” each night in the regular menus, so all guests have an equal chance of receiving 1947 pricing. Each Golden Menu is good for one appetizer, entree, side and/or salad per person at the table. This promotion will run through the end of the year.
