A Special Wish Christmas Ale hits the taps for another festive season! It’s hard to believe this is Eudora Brewing Company‘s 6th year brewing this beer and partnering with A Special Wish Foundation – Dayton & Southwest Ohio Chapter! All net proceeds of this beer will be donated to grant the wish of one special child diagnosed with a life-threatening disorder.

This year’s Special Wish Christmas Ale is full of dark caramel and raisiny swirls with a touch of holiday spice. It’s the perfect way to get in the spirit We can’t wait to help this year’s wish recipient realize their wish.

Meet Hannah, our A Special Wish recipient for 2024! Hannah is a 20-year-old Kettering local battling a rare, aggressive type of non-Hodgkins lymphoma called PMBCL (Primary mediastinal large B-cell lymphoma.) Her Special Wish is to go on a beach vacation with her family in Spring 2025, and every glass of Christmas Ale you drink this season will help that dream turn into a reality! 50% of all A Special Wish Ale proceeds are donated to A Special Wish and will be put directly towards granting Hannah’s wish!

Fundraising Brunch at Basil’s For Chloe’s Special Wish

Basil’s on Market proudly announces their annual The Wonderful World of Basil’s Event taking place November 5^th, 2017. This spectacular Sunday Brunch event is sure to be magical with 50% of all the proceeds from the entire day benefiting the local charity, A Special Wish Foundation.

A Special Wish is a non-profit organization serving 6 local counties. Their mission is to provide children and adolescents who have been diagnosed with a life-threatening disorder, the opportunity to have a wish fulfilled. These wishes can range from special gifts, visiting a special place, or even meeting their hero! This event will be looking to raise funds for Chloe, age 6, who has been diagnosed with leukemia, and grant her wish to visit Walt Disney World and become a Walt Disney World Princess!

The Dayton Chapter has granted wishes to more than 1,600 children over the past 30 years. As the largest Special Wish Chapter in the country, they need the support of our community. “As a father of two, this organization is really close to my heart. I love the idea of helping kids in our community and giving them an experience that they will never forget!” says Basil’s owner, Jeff Finkelstein.

It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane, It’s a Donut !

Look, over at Centerville Stadium, caped superheros of all sorts are descending on the track for a 5k / 10k Walk/Run this Saturday, April 16th! They are able to leap a dozen pretzel donuts in a single bound. They are the runners/walkers for this special event.

Dubbed the “Bill’s Donut Superhero Run,” this walk/run event is for kids and adults. Most importantly it benefits a local charity, the Dayton, Ohio Affiliate Chapter of “A Special Wish Foundation, Inc.,” covering Montgomery, Darke, Mercer, Miami, Greene & Shelby Counties.

The event allows families to participate together, or just kids, or just adults. Who is your favorite super hero? Green Lantern? The Flash? Wonder Woman? Who will you dress up as?

Join the fun and come dressed as your favorite super hero. Kids go crazy for this stuff, and what a fun way to promote healthy exercise in their lives. You even get to have some world famous Bill’s Donuts after the race, as well as Mikesells chips, bananas, and grilled hot dogs. What a fun Food Adventure!

Super heroes get hungry too, ya know. Plenty of bottled water will be available for re-hydration of our super powers after the race.

What is your favorite donut? Blueberry? Long Johns? Persian Nuts? Maybe even stop by for more Bill’s Donuts on the way home, around the corner from the stadium.

This is one of the most fun and entertaining local races of the year. Come out and walk, run, or just people watch. Bring the kids and sign them up for the fun run, it is an absolute riot to see some of the youngsters in their “super hero” alter egos. Kudos to Bill’s Donuts, the Elam family, A Special Wish staff, and all the sponsors for helping out the charity “A Special Wish Foundation, Inc.”

The Big Ragu, Hungry Jax and Chef House will be in attendance volunteering passing out donuts, and even participating in the walk/run. Come join the Food Adventures Crew and hundreds of others.
