Juicing Jammers Juice and Smoothie Bar, which started out in 2007, as Dayton’s first Black owned and woman owned mobile juicery. Owner Tawnni Miles is a registered Nurse who started her business in 2017 with a small refrigerator in Tae Winston’s Entrepreneur Shop. She then purchased her trailer in 2020. She’s been operating at events and farmer’s markets around town. Now she’ signed a multiple year lease with Wright Dunbar, Inc. Tawnni shared that it’s surreal to now have this location, where she first now house her shop.
The Soft Opening was on Friday, July 29, 2022 in the Historic Wright Dunbar Business District.
The brick-and-mortar space will allow for an expanded menu to include yogurt bowls, acai bowls, lemonades, overnight oats, avocado toast, fruit bowls and salads.
But sadly, the building has some major issues and water damaged much of her shop forcing her to close this past March. Her shop has new bee completely remodeled and she will host a Grand Re-Opening is Friday, August 25th 10am-7pm

“Mamaw you make the best treats.” Hearing this from her grandkids inspired Mendy Williams to open her Fairborn bakery (where Gigi’s Cupcakes used to be). Expect to find cookies, cake pops, cup cakes, 7 layer bars, brownies, cakes and more on the shelves when she opens her shop on Friday, August 25th. She’ll feature four different cupcakes and cookies that will be featured on flight boards that rotate each month.



The festival will also present a retrospective of the career of longtime Yellow Springs resident and Academy Award® winning director Julia Reichert, featuring film posters, interviews and excerpts of her incredible body of work available free to the public.
Jackie O & Cherry Poppins will return to host the party, Gem City Burlesque will also make a return this year with performances that are sure to titillate. Regional Events Manager for Equitas, Jostin Schimmoeler also shared he has several other cool entertainers lined up, but he can’t reveal them until contracts are signed.

Thirty-two food trucks rolled into Veterans Park in Springfield Saturday for the ninth Springfield Rotary Gourmet Food Truck Competition, but only one of them rolled out of town as the grand prize winner.


Over 700 attendees used the Springfield Food Truck mobile app to vote for their favorite truck throughout the event, with 



Casually competitive- that’s how Eudora Brewing describes their fall cornhole league. Teams of two (18 years or older) sign can sign up for the eight week league that will play ever Tuesday starting Sept 5th. Your team will be scheduled to play on Tuesdays at 6pm, 7pm or 8pm through October 24th. Games will be played inside. You can use substitutes as needed, and substitutions can be made mid-game. Substitutions can NOT be made mid-turn.
The St. Anne’s Hill will be filled with music this Saturday, August 19th from 12:15 to 6:45pm. Free mini concerts will be held on porches throughout St. Anne’s Hill community.
