Bubbakoo’s Burritos opened its first restaurant in Point Pleasant, New Jersey in 2008. Their burrito concept serves up fresh, made-to-order food, that is affordable for kids, families and seniors. The company is quite community minded, offering fundraising opportunities, a Read it to Eat it Program that encourages students to read five books to earn a free meal. Their first Miami Valley eatery at 5810 Wilmington Pike in Centerville opened this past September. Construction has begun next to Cassano’s in Springboro’s Wright Station and the location is projected to open in March of 2022.
Here’s the info we shared when the Centerville eatery opened and some pictures of that one:

Warped Wing Brewing Co., a Dayton, Ohio based brewery, announces its official opening of The Warped Wing Barrel Room & Smokery. The unique barrel-aged facility, taproom, eatery and test pilot brewery is located at the new Wright Station development, in the heart of downtown Springboro, located at the intersection of State Routes 741 and 73. The 20,000 square foot facility boasts a large taproom with outdoor biergarten and a flexible event space. The remaining facility will accommodate up to 400+ aging barrels along with a small-scale brewery and distribution hub.
Warped Wing will provide a one-of-a-kind experience for patrons. Special customer programs are being developed such as a Barrel Club Reserve membership, which will allow members to get up-close, hands-on tour experiences, exclusive tastings and first offering purchases of extremely limited bottles. Warped Wing has won accolades for a series of their barrel-aged products such as “Whiskey Rebellion”. They continue to develop many other brands within their traditional beer and barrel-aged portfolio.
“Our barrel-aging program has propelled us into an interesting place” said Nick Bowman, co-founder and VP of Sales and Marketing. “My partner, Co-founder and Brewmaster John Haggerty has a wealth of knowledge and experience with brewing and barrel aging,” said Bowman. “He pushes the creativity of recipe development to another level. Barrel aging is an intimate and patient process. A lot of our beers rest in wood for up to a year or longer. We are excited to share this process and experience with our customers. The Barrel Room & Smokery will take beer to a new level and will change the way people perceive and interact with beer. That is what I’m most excited about” said Bowman.
“The pilot brewing system will give us endless opportunities to experiment with new beer styles and flavor profiles” said Bowman.
The new facility will not only offer bottled and draft barrel-aged beers but also a staple of its flagship beers such as IPA’s, stouts, lagers and other styles. There will also be an extensive bottle collection for patrons to choose from which will be available to drink on premise or purchased to go.
The Smokery, run by Culinary Director Erin O ‘Neill, will bring an innovative, eclectic menu to complement the robust beer selection. There will be a major focus on smoked meat/food items and many of the dishes will feature Warped Wing beers as ingredients. Other libations available will be hard cider, wine as well as a limited spirits menu focused on specialty cocktails and house made craft sodas.

Playhouse South Community Theatre has just announced that they will be moving their program to Springboro!
Tentatively in Spring of 2019, Playhouse South will be located in a permanent home in Springboro to help fulfill the need for more performing arts in the area. They have been closely working with City Manager, Chris Pozzuto to better our relationship with the city.
With this being said, Rock of Ages, which performs in May, will be the last show in their current location. Their first and last show of the 2018-2019 season will be School House Rock Live! in Springboro at North Park. From then, until their new home is available, they will be taking the time to revamp their program. Their board and members agree that this is the perfect opportunity to properly prepare for the future of Playhouse South.
Why pause the Playhouse South program until you have moved into the new home in Springboro?
– Our members and board have decided that until our permanent space is ready, we would like to take this time to address everything our program has to offer. We’re looking at ways to grow, improve, and organize our entire program in a way that will better accommodate our new city and space.
Where will everything be stored while the move is taking place?
– Springboro has generously offered us a temporary space where we can store all our costumes, props, furniture, lumber, etc. Also, they have provided us with proper accommodations to prepare for School House Rock Live!
Are you announcing a 2018-2019 season?
– Rock of Ages, going up in May, will be our last show in our current space in Kettering. We will begin moving from this space as soon as the show closes. School House Rock Live!, performed at North Park in Springboro, will be our first and only 2018-2019 season show.
What does the new space look like?
– We cannot share many details about our new space. Nothing is set in stone as of yet, and many changes could still take place between now and the finalization of the project. We can confidently say that we have worked with the Springboro City Manager, Chris Pozzuto, to work from a “Wish List” of things that we would like our theater to include, and just about everything on that list will be worked into the space. Once everything is finalized, we will go public with more details.
